About Black Boys Code
Black Boys Code is a nonprofit organization that believes in developing a generation of young Black men who see success in technology careers as an option not an impossibility. Black Boys Code developes workshops, mentorships, and hackathons that are tailored to the needs of young Black males in order to better equip them for the 21st century workforce in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineeering, Mathematics).

They are inspiring a generation of Black youth to take control of their future and become tomorrow’s digital creators and technological innovators. Black Boys Code do that by helping them develop digital literacy and computer competence—the foundation of a path towards a career in technology.

Created by the organization’s founder and CEO Bryan Johnson in 2015, Black Boys Code has been working full-time ever since to open Black kids’ eyes to the opportunities they have in the high paying technology fields. Johnson said he’s hopeful many will pursue high-tech degrees and careers.
