Log into Google Analytics and go to Admin (gear icon in bottom left). In the Property column click Tracking Info/Tracking Code. Copy the Tracking ID that looks like: UA-05797670-1 (example).
Log into Squarespace and go to Settings.
Click Advanced at the bottom.
Click External API Keys.
Enter the UA-….. Google analytics account ID number.
For Home Page: go to Marketing/SEO
For Page Title setting %s :Design/Logo & Title
For Alt Text in Squarespace
Edit the block and enter the alt text in the caption box.
In the Design tab, select a display option from the caption drop-down menu:
- Do Not Display Caption – No caption displays unless the image is viewed in lightbox.
